Advertising policy.
Advertisements are accepted when deemed appropriate by the editors. Advertisements can be rejected without explanation if the editors find the ad(s) to be offensive to the general public or if the advertising is for products the law prevents students from consuming.

The Chatterbox accepts advertising in each of the six issues we publish each year. Because we distribute free of charge to all students on both main (G.W.H.S.) and Langston campuses, no other publication reaches more teenagers in Danville than The Chatterbox. For advertisers, this means approximately 1,800 students--plus faculty, staff, families and friends--will potentially view your advertisement.

Our ad contract contains prices and sizes, as well as payment options. If you purchase at least four ads, you receive a 10-percent discount, and if you pay up front, you receive a 10-percent discount! To purchase advertising in The Chatterbox, print, complete, and sign a contract; then, mail to The Chatterbox, George Washington High School, 701 Broad Street, Danville, VA 24541. Be sure to keep a copy for yourself, as well. The contract will serve as a receipt, and also as an invoice if you choose our "Bill: Net 30 Days" option, which allows you to reserve space for your ads while waiting up to 30 days to pay.

For real-size examples of our ad sizes, please see our ad sizes sheet. The sizes correspond to the ad prices on our ad contract.

Chatterbox staff: Here is the ad contact sheet you will need when contacting advertisers who do not, or are hesitant to, purchase ads.
